Micromax Informatics: India’s Homegrown Tech Brand

Micromax Informatics is an Indian multinational electronics company headquartered in Ludhiana, Punjab. Founded in 2000 by Rahul Sharma and Rohit Patel, it initially operated as an IT software firm before entering the mobile phone industry in 2008. By 2014, Micromax had become the tenth-largest smartphone vendor globally and the leading mobile brand in India, surpassing even Samsung in market share during Q4 2015 .
